Well here we go....the journal of our search begins here. We'll post here every few weeks or as news comes in that way our family and friends will be able to stay current with our process.
We'll also update daily while in Ukraine so that all of you can be there with us on our journey to find Sofia Victoria Warchol!!!

In 2004 we made the decision to start our family by adopting from Ukraine. It took 1 yr, 11 mons, and 21 days, but in November of 2006 we were finally united with our daughter. Though the journey was a long and exhausting one, she was well worth the wait. Feel free to read her story...from the very begining through her first year home. Welcome to the Warchol Adoption.
Every 18 seconds, a child becomes an orphan. Lets not forget about them.
The children who are available for adoption in Ukraine are not allowed to be photographed and "published" for view due to current Ukrainian laws. This is meant to protect the children and eliminate the chances of unethical or illegal adoptions . That is why in my slide show you will not see any full view faces of the children from the desky dom.

Meet Gene...
Gene Sagin was our regional translator while in Ukraine, and he is now a life long friend. He helped us along our journey and made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable while in Ukraine. He has a big heart, loves his job and loves the children of Ukraine. We are and will forever be grateful for his hard work and dedication. We will one day return to this great country and reunite with the man that lead us to our daughter.
Gene works to complete bio-family searches throughout all of Ukraine and is very reasonable with his fees. My last name is Warchol too, I wonder if we are related?
My firewall that comes with my windows xp slows down my computer. What will be a better one firewall I can download and use for free?
