In 2004 we made the decision to start our family by adopting from Ukraine. It took 1 yr, 11 mons, and 21 days, but in November of 2006 we were finally united with our daughter. Every 18 seconds, a child becomes an orphan. Lets not forget about them.
The children who are available for adoption in Ukraine are not allowed to be photographed and "published" for view due to current Ukrainian laws. This is meant to protect the children and eliminate the chances of unethical or illegal adoptions . That is why in my slide show you will not see any full view faces of the children from the desky dom.

Meet Gene...
Gene Sagin was our regional translator while in Ukraine, and he is now a life long friend. He helped us along our journey and made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable while in Ukraine. He has a big heart, loves his job and loves the children of Ukraine. We are and will forever be grateful for his hard work and dedication. We will one day return to this great country and reunite with the man that lead us to our daughter.
Gene works to complete bio-family searches throughout all of Ukraine and is very reasonable with his fees. She is so beautiful!!!! My GOODNESS! I hope Jason is ready for her teen years. You better get her a few brothers. Lyra has grown three inches and hasn't gained any weight either. It's the age they are at. They are stretching:):):). Hugs!
