Every 18 seconds, a child becomes an orphan. Lets not forget about them.

The children who are available for adoption in Ukraine are not allowed to be photographed and "published" for view due to current Ukrainian laws. This is meant to protect the children and eliminate the chances of unethical or illegal adoptions . That is why in my slide show you will not see any full view faces of the children from the desky dom.

I have gotten a few comments and emails about her hair being so blond...in reality, yes it has lighten quite a bit but you can tell that it is 'sun bleached' ! I am sure that it will darken back up this fall. But the main reason it looks so light is because her skin has gotten so dark. I edit and brighten the photos, but to see her in person you can really see the change. We were talking to Gene about it and he said that B.M. has 'gypsy/Romanian' decent so that is why she is starting to show the 'olive' completion.

my little twerp was actually able to pattle this boat all around the pool. It was little a pattle boat but instead of using your feet, it has handles to use your arms. It took her some time to realize that she needed to use both arms at the same time instead of one at a time. She loved it.

All Yogi'ed out....she has on her Yogi tee shirt and camping hat.

The cooler was in the back of the truck and it sits high. We were too lazy to climb back there to get the drinks out so when we needed something we just lifted Olena over the side and had her get it!! Hey isn't that why we all have kids??? :)))

Hi,
Olena looks like she is having a great time and so happy. Camping must agree with her! We are off to Angelina's baptism this weekend in Chicago. We can't wait to see everyone this Friday. They arrived about five hours ago.
Keep up the blogging. I check yours and Tonya's at least once a week.

Hi Christina, Jason and Olena!
Spent this morning catching up on your blog now that we can actually "see" it since in the US. We have not been able to blog or see blogs for about 6-8 weeks in China. I can post, but cannot surf - pretty frustrating. I see my Mom makes her rounds! Hope all is well with everyone and Olena is just beautiful, Pam and I were commenting on how blonde her hair has become. Angelina has some blonde in her hair, but still light brown all over. Love from the White's,
Brian, Pamela and Angelina
