Every 18 seconds, a child becomes an orphan. Lets not forget about them.

The children who are available for adoption in Ukraine are not allowed to be photographed and "published" for view due to current Ukrainian laws. This is meant to protect the children and eliminate the chances of unethical or illegal adoptions . That is why in my slide show you will not see any full view faces of the children from the desky dom.

The aftermath...

Things have finally settled for the day! The excitement and overpowering emotion has somewhat subsided....and now the fear and reality sets in!! Oh my God...we are going to be parents in 1 month. You think we would be prepared after waiting 2 years - but this, truefully, is probably one of the scariest days of my life!

We have called most of the family and friends, I am working on a letter to send out so that we don't miss anyone and to give everyone the blog address. Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive. Your comments and well wishes were greatly appreciated.

Our daughter is finally coming home!

Congratulations! We were in the Ukraine in November of 2003. It was acutally pretty cold so take a warm coat, hat and mittens. Good luck on your journey to find your daughter.
